Elektrik Disko returns with I Like To Disco, the debut release on brand new label Glammarama Records. The track is a straight-up party starter, built around a punchy call and response between male and female robot vocals. “Do you like to disco?” “I like to disco.” “Let’s go to the disco.” It’s playful, funky, and packed with energy. Powered by a driving bassline and a piano hook that refuses to leave your head, the record proudly draws on Daft Punk and French house influences.
This marks Elektrik Disko’s first original single in a while, and it’s been worth the wait. “It’s been a painstaking process to get everything sitting right,” says Elektrik Disko. “I wanted this one to feel raw, fun, and ready for the club. Hoping DJs all over the world connect with it.”
Elektrik Disko has already made waves on the scene with two #1 Traxsource chart-toppers. My Lovin’, a collaboration with Dr Packerreleased on Mark Knight’s Fools Paradise label, hit #1 on the Nu-Disco chart. That success was followed by their remake of Push the Feeling On, also with Dr Packer, which went #1 on the main Traxsource chart and hit #1 on Beatport’s Nu-Disco chart.
I Like To Disco is the first of many new singles from Elektrik Disko this year and kicks things off with serious groove and pure dancefloor energy.
