Junior Jack’s Adesso Music returns with a new Sampler 08.
DiMO (BG) x Joy Marquez – American People
DiMO (BG) and Joy Marquez unite on Junior Jack’s Adesso Music this March. Bulgarian powerhouse DiMO (BG) has been honing his sound on labels like Defected and Switch Lab over the past twenty years, receiving high praise from Roger Sanchez to Bedouin. March sees him collaborate with Mexican producer Joy Marquez, a talent who has featured on compilations alongside Armin Van Buuren and Judge Jules, on Adesso Music for the first time on ‘American People’. ‘American People’ is fiery dancefloor heat that rides on a brooding afro drum beat and hypnotic vocals until cybernetic synth frequencies throw in a hypnotic twist to make for a mind-melting dancefloor smash.
Francesco Ferraro, dAPULEO, Renda – Badass Baile EP
Francesco Ferraro drops two collaborative cuts on Adesso Music alongside dAPULEO and Renda. Italy-based Francesco Ferraro has been carving out his niche in dance music for the last two decades, adopting various monikers and clocking up remix credits for the likes of Depeche Mode, Moby and Basement Jaxx. Debuting on Junior Jack’s Adesso Music, he links with fellow countrymen dAPULEO and Renda across their collaborative ‘Badass Baile’ EP. First up, ‘Ella Baila Sola’ sees Ferraro link up with dAPULEO, who has credits on the likes of Rousch and Dopewax, as the pair deliver a seven-minute dancefloor workout merging kinetic percussion, vocal yelps and wonky synth work. Next, Ferraro is joined by up-and-coming producer Renda for the low-end grumbling ‘Badass Samba’ – a steamy tech house groove with a nagging lead, plenty of rich FX, and distorted vocal coos that will keep the floor moving all hours of the night.
URICKAIM & CHAAP – Jungle Storm
Urickaim has a signature sound that is all about bringing joy to the house scene. His lively rhythms come with pop hooks and are always well-produced, thanks to his background in sound engineering. Here, he works with Montreal native Chaap, who broke through with a wave of remixes and edits that led to appearances on Hood Politics and Spira Music. Together, the pair cook up the superb ‘Jungle Storm’, the sort of explosive cut that pairs bouncy beats with summer steel drums and irresistible melodic hooks. Some steamy vocals bring warmth to this sure-fire festival anthem next to colourful pads and organic percussive lines.
Deep Fiktion – Dumb
Deep Fiktion is the all-new collaborative project from rising tech house talents Eldeanyo and Greg Willowe. As individual artists, the pair have graced some of the UK’s biggest dancefloors, from Ministry Of Sound to Egg, and now they enter 2024 under a joint alias with a slew of releases lined up on labels such as Circus, Traded, and Junior Jack’s burgeoning Adesso Music label. ‘Dumb’ is a robust, compelling tech house cut with irresistible drum programming and romping low-end. Melodic arps flutter away above the beat while a warped and twisted vocal line unfolds like an ancient chant up top that is sure to send dancefloors into raptures.
