Two established artists who have broken the mould within their respective scenes come together on DFTD for the understated club cut ‘Starlightway’. Since his Defected debut ten years ago, Flashmob has turned his signature sound – digital music with an analogue twist – into a brand, creating an eponymous label and radio show in addition to building an impressive discography.

As for Josh Butler, a string of Defected releases turned the North England musician from in-demand producer to contemporary house mainstay, releasing on Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels and Kaoz Theory since.

Together the pair unveil ‘Starlightway’, a dancefloor ready single that shows the two artists’ signature styles; Flashmob’s energetic simplicity collides with Butler’s cool atmospheric touch.
