Brazilian DJ icon Vintage Culture has teamed up with Italian DJ duo Fideles and London singer Be No Rain for euphoric new single ‘Fallen Leaf’, the first track taken from Vintage Culture’s highly anticipated debut album.
Arriving in time for peak summer season, ‘Fallen Leaf’ is a pounding floor filler decorated with flashes of bright synth over heavy pulsating bass. Be No Rain’s soaring vocal tops it off, as the track builds to a heart-stopping breakdown before rebuilding the pieces for a huge climax. This is a transcendent club anthem from the production masterminds of Vintage Culture and Fideles.
Having earlier this year announced his upcoming debut album to be released this fall, ‘Fallen Leaf’ is Vintage Culture’s latest in a string of head-turning 2023 singles, following The Clash rework ‘Rock the Casbah’, ‘Alive’ with Franky Wah, and ‘If I Live Forever’ ft Izzy Bizu.
From the tiny municipality of Mundo Novo, Brazilian house DJ Vintage Culture has risen to international stardom through his songwriting, studio productions and charismatic stage presence. Already a household name in his homeland of Brazil, he has really been announced as the world’s #1 House DJ in the DJ Mag ‘Top 100’, while climbing to #11 in the overall poll.
Forming together as Fideles in 2010, Daniele Aprile & Mario Roberti have been shaping music that blends the melodic and epic to deliver a mature and contemporary sound. Drawing on their lifelong influences, the Italian duo’s productions have piqued the attention of some of the biggest imprints in modern dance music. Their body of music to date is substantial, including releases on labels like Bedrock, Poker Flat, Stil vor Talent and more recently, Afterlife, Innervisions and Exit Strategy.
Be No Rain first burst onto the scene with his trademark tenor voice alongside Kas:st, and Tale of Us on their genre-defining anthem, Hold Me To The Light. Soon after, he caught the ears of trance legend Armin Van Buuren, who reached out during the pandemic to collaborate on the haunting and mournful ‘Hollow.’ Colyn remixed ‘Hollow’ in late 2021, reintroducing melodic house and techno fans to Be No Rain’s distinctive vocal tone. As lockdowns eased, a new Be No Rain song began making waves across the electronic music world. ‘Night After Night’, an earth shattering collaboration with Fideles and Camelphat, quickly made its way into DJ sets the world over. Upon release, ‘Night After Night’ was greeted as an instant classic, being featured in headline sets and mixes by David Guetta, Tiesto and Tale Of Us, to name a few. With his stature growing with every release, 2023 looks set to be Be No Rain’s busiest year yet.
Arriving amidst his famed residency at Hï Ibiza, ‘Fallen Leaf’ finds Vintage Culture in perfect harmony with Fideles & Be No Rain, resulting in a Melodic house gem that’s set to be a fan favourite this summer.
