Junior Jack’s Adesso Music label continues to shine a light on new emerging talent, perfectly showcased here in the first of a series of Adesso Music Samplers.
Trilucid ‘Take Me Higher’.
With impressive releases on Anjunabeats, Colorize and Glasgow Underground, UK duo Trilucid have been a constant in the melodic and progressive house spaces over the last decade. Holding down a five-year residency at Ministry Of Sound amongst further appearances at South West Four, Space (Ibiza) and Amnesia, the pair clocked up 3 million streams on Spotify alone last year while gracing Beatport’s Top 10. Following a busy start to 2023, percussive elements and a pulsating bassline lock dancers into the infectious groove of ‘Take Me Higher’, with entrancing melodic flourishes, bright keys and vocal snippets showcasing their melodic-leaning style.
KeeQ ‘Such A Loneliness’
Fresh from a run of releases on Saved Records, Circus Recordings, Toolroom, SOLOTOKO and Hurry Up Slowly, Brighton-based DJ/producer KeeQ is looking to keep his purple patch rolling as he heads towards UK summer. ‘Such A Loneliness’ is a bright rolling track fusing crisp drums, echoing female vocals and a bumping core groove.
Dan Hayes ‘Beat Of My Heart’.
The winner of Evermix’s 2016 DJ competition in collaboration with Toolroom and Krafted, South England-based DJ/producer Dan Hayes is steadily becoming a regular fixture on the UK festival and club circuit. With support from Skream, Alan Fitzpatrick, Sonny Fodera and CamelPhat, he now makes his label debut on Adesso Music with ‘Beat Of My Heart. Combining swirling synth melodies with soulful vocals and upfront percussion, ‘Beat Of My Heart’ is a lively and vivid production.
Gavril ‘Night In Buenos Aires’
Milan-based talent Gavril, aka Gabriele Bellotti, is a house head at heart with over a decade of experience in the genre. His style draws from bass-driven sounds through to rich melodic textures, previously releasing material via Tube & Berger’s ZEHN, LW Recordings and more. ‘Night In Buenos Aires’ journeys through melodic soundscapes led by playful acid-dipped synths, a wandering bassline and distant vocal samples that crescendo throughout, making for a deep late-night dancefloor offering.
RENEW ‘Nobody’.
Having racked up a slew of big room-bothering releases for the likes of Revealed, Black Hole and Affinity Records, Joao Nunes dons his RENEW alias and comes out with a more tech-house driven sound. Robust drums take the helm in ‘Nobody’ with a throbbing bassline looping you in underneath hypnotising melodic lines. Swelling pads and stabs build tension to the drop, with the hooky female vocal at the fore to round out a moody club cut.
