Dust off your disco ball, grab a cocktail and get ready for the uniquely exhilarating experience that is CLIO!

London-born and Sydney-based, Clio is the alter ego of recording artist Danielle Bellas.

“I was drawn to disco music from a young age – the sound, the culture, the freedom of expression. A moment of synchronicity at a Glitterbox event in Sydney a few years ago lit a fire in me to evolve, experiment and challenge everything I knew artistically.”

As Bellas embarked on this new project, Paul Brandoli, platinum-accredited songwriter and producer came on board, helping to cultivate and shape a sound for Clio, who will be the first artist released via his independent label, Funk Shake.

Clio’s debut single, ‘Deeper in My Love’, is an enchanting and infectious nod to the world’s greatest dance floor culture, inspired by the noughties disco sound with a classic disco timelessness at its core. Additional production, mixdown and mastering was carried out by Ramon Lopez (Supermini).

The disco king, Dr Packer, has also added his magic touch, with an official remix to accompany the single release.

Clio has recently given crowds a taste of what’s to come from her ‘Disco Paradiso’ live show with performances during Sydney Mardi Gras.

The legacies of Donna Summer, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross and Amii Stewart are fused within a modern, indie pop edge, so grab your glitter and get ready for a new nostalgia. Clio has arrived!
