The original record, a homage to NYC’s rich Latin American dance culture, was as slick, soulful and groove-filled as expected from two generations of the city’s finest, unsurprisingly catching the attention of house sensation Honey Dijon, who provides a remix on the package. A flawless example of her Berlin meets NYC style, Honey’s contribution has a clubbier feel, as short bursts of Marc E. Bassy’s vocal flicker over rippling synths and a driving bassline.
This package also features the previously unreleased TMBLV Vox Dub, a new mix that blends elements of the original and the dub, maintaining the vocal to a more stripped-back effect, with the Latin-infused instrumentals and addictive bassline still in full play.
