Dublin house duo Obskür make their Defected debut with returning artist and vocalist SHELLS.

Raised on a diet of Defected classics, the boys honed their craft in lockdown and reaped the rewards after, having already worked with leading industry names Eats Everything, Gorgon City, Baby D and Damon Trueitt. Their previous release ‘Daydreaming’ saw UK radio support from Danny Howard, Sam Divine and TCTS thanks to its pure house sound that showed a respect for where the genre came from.

The duo have rightfully earned their debut Defected release ‘Rebel’, enlisting the help of SHELLS; no stranger to a Defected hit, the UK talent sang on ‘Nightjar’ with top producers Vintage Culture & Sonny Fedora in 2022, gaining major play worldwide and setting the benchmark for what modern house should be. SHELLS’ dark and hypnotic vocals permeate ‘Rebel’ as Obskür show off their sleek, synth-led production skills accented by hard hitting percussive elements.
